Journalist, Kiki Mordi Gets Nomination At the 2020 Emmy Awards For ‘Sex For Grades’ Documentary
Kiki Mordi has been nominated in the Current Affairs category at the 2020 International Emmy Awards.
Going undercover, the investigative journalist was responsible for the BBC Africa Eye: Sex for Grades documentary which exposed sexual harassment in tertiary institutions in West Africa.
The documentary, after its release in October 2019, sparked outrage across various social media platforms as the Federal Government was called on to take immediate action against sexual harassment in Nigerian Universities.
Mordi took to her Twitter page to make the announcement on Tuesday.
Here’s me, despite being an emotional mess, announcing that @BBCAfrica #BBCAfricaEye‘s #SexForGrades is nominated in the “Current Affairs” category for this year’s international Emmys. Every single soul that made this project come alive deserves this honor!
