Funke Akindele Set To Launch ‘Everybody Loves Jenifa’ Series
Riding on the success of her blockbuster movie, ‘A Tribe Called Judah’, Funke Akindele has announced a spinoff from the Jenifa series called ‘Everybody Loves Jenifa’.
The actress and producer made the announcement via her social media pages on Tuesday.
She captioned it: Been long you saw Jenifa!!!!

Jenifa’s Diary, a sitcom, has been a popular Nigerian television show since its premiere in 2015. The series revolves around the main character, played by Akindele, and has included Folarin “Falz” Falana, Lolo, Juliana Olayode, Lota Chukwu, Paschaline Alex Okoli, and the late Aderounmu Adejumoke.
The franchise commenced in 2008 with the release of the original movie, “Jenifa” followed by the successful sequel “Return of Jenifa” in 2011. Expanding its horizons, the Jenifa franchise has also introduced spin-offs like “Aiyetoro Town” (2019, 18 episodes) and “Jenifa on Lockdown” (2021), further captivating audiences.
