Couple of weeks ago, I got robbed on my way to work. A very traumatic experience as I felt safe considering a police officer was in the same bus. Faced with two hungry looking men at first and additional five picked along the way, you have no chance whatsoever surviving that alone except the Lord is with you. Able bodied menwho blamed the condition of the country as the reason for their evil act, I couldn’t help but wonder after the incident what would reduce a man into attacking a total stranger. Its not easy out there for anyone. People forget that everyone is trying to keep their head above the waters. God saw me through. I passed through the storm but he helped me weather it. For the remaining part of this year, I implore us to be careful. Lazy desperate people are out there. There has been an increase in crime rate in the past months. Don’t go around with your cards if you don’t need it. Hide your mobile applications and use it only when necessary. Dont take buses with only men in it irrespective of whether there is a uniformed person in the bus. For all you care, they could be a syndicate. Be conscious of wherever you are. Never ever let your guards down in a public place. God will not come down himself to protect you. He equips us the best way he possibly can. I thank God that even though I walked through the valley of the shadow of death, the Lord was with me. Thanks to my family and friends and loved ones who stood by me through the trauma. I love you tremendously. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Sunday y’all.
