The story of self-esteem and confidence in one’s skin color cannot be over-told as one of your favorite celebrities more light on her battle. Actress, Beverly Naya recently shot a documentary titled “Skin”. The dark-skinned actress also went on to share her the reason behind shooting her documentary as she drew from her personal experiences to make the documentary.
On an interview with a presenter on Wazobia Max TV, she recounts her experience on she was being bullied because of her crooked teeth and eczema which messed up her self-esteem. Naya said while she has not necessarily felt low self-esteem because of her skin color, but she has seen that happen to other people.

On the show, Beverly Naya also discussed contemporary social issues such as colorism and how it has affected her career and that of others. The documentary which is is produced by Beverly Naya and directed by Etim Effiong features several notable celebrities like Phyno, Bob Risky, Eku Edewor, and Dianna Yekinni.
