Singer, Beyonce has announced the launch of her whiskey brand named “SirDavis”.
The 32-time Grammy Winner shared the news via her Instagram page with the caption “DAVIS IN MY BONES”.
Here are all the facts to know about the whiskey brand by Beyonce.
1. The whiskey is a joint venture with Moët Hennessy, a division of luxury conglomerate LVMH.
2. It is named after the singer’s great-grandfather, Davis Hogue, who was considered the moonshiner of the prohibition era.
3. The recipe was masterminded by Bill Lumsden, the distiller behind LVMH-owned Scottish single-malt whiskies Glenmorangie and Ardbeg.
4. Beyonce was involved in designing the bottle, which features a bronze horse logo representing the Houston-born star’s Texas roots and cowboy image.
5. The whiskey brand will be headquartered in the mother of three’s Houston, Texas hometown.
6. SirDavis marks Moët Hennessy’s first spirit brand developed by the company entirely in the U.S.
The whiskey is the singer’s latest venture. In February 2024, she announced the launch of her hair care line, Cecred which was developed over six years.
Beyonce joins the list of celebrities who own whiskey brands including Drake, Dwayne Johnson, and George Clooney.
