Nigerians Call For Justice Over Tragic Murder Of Lagos Based Lawyer, Bolanle Raheem On Christmas Day

Nigerians have been reacting to the tragic murder of Bolanle Raheem on Christmas Day.
Raheem, a lawyer was shot dead by a policeman attached to Ajiwe Police Station, Ajah, Lagos State.
According to reports, the late Raheem, her sister, and her children were coming from an eatery in their car around 11 am when the officer tried to stop them.
Eyewitnesses say the deceased was trying to make a U-turn under the Ajah Bridge when the officer shot at her vehicle. The bullet was said to have hit the victim who was immediately rushed to a hospital where she was confirmed dead.
The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, has condemned the shooting and killing of Mrs. Omobolanle Raheem, a lawyer who was allegedly shot and killed by a Policeman attached to Ajiwe Police Station, Ajah, Lagos State.
A statement released by CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said the IGP, who described the incident as unfortunate and sad, has ordered speedy investigation and prosecution of the officers responsible for the ugly and unprofessional act, which doesn’t portray the Nigeria Police Standard Operating Procedure and core values.
Raheem’s murder has caused an uproar on social media as Nigerians call for justice.

A Nigerian Police Officer from Ajiwe division shot and killed Bolanle Raheem on Xmas day. It is from this same division an Officer killed Gafaru Buraimoh about 2 weeks ago.
