Caroline Adepoju Confirmed As Substantive Immigration Comptroller General

President Bola Tinubu has confirmed the appointment of Caroline Wura-Ola Adepoju as the substantive Comptroller General (CG) of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS).

She reportedly disclosed this while addressing men and officers of the service at a routine parade on Wednesday, adding that her decoration would soon be made public.

She said the date for her decoration would soon be made public in due time.

“You may also wish to know that, through the grace of God and the benevolence of the present government, I have been confirmed as the substantive Comptroller-General of Immigration,” Adepoju said.

Recall that Adepoju was the most senior Deputy Comptroller-General (DCG) appointed as the acting CG to man the saddle of leadership at the NIS.

She took over from her predecessor, Isah Jere, whose tenure expired on May 29, 2023.
