A Nigerian lady, Sandra Ozioma Marume, is in a celebratory mood after bagging the Mastercard Foundation scholarship to study for an MSc at the University of Edinburgh.
Sandra, who has a visual impairment associated with albinism, took to Linked-In to share her story.
She wrote:

My story is one filled with small wins:
1. Graduating with a first-class LLB degree from Afe Babalola University (despite the significant visual impairment associated with albinism)
2. Graduating with a first class from the Nigerian Law School.
3. Working with the best of the best as an associate at Banwo & Ighodalo, a top-tier, globally recognized law firm.
4. And just recently, securing the prestigious Mastercard Foundation scholarship to study for an MSc at the University of Edinburgh.
I am excited to be joining a strong network of change-makers across the globe as an MCF scholar.
Super grateful to God Almighty and everyone who has provided various forms of assistance in my journey, particularly my parents for their unconditional love, protection, acceptance, and understanding of my limitations.
I am also very grateful to my mentors Damilola S. Olawuyi, SAN, FCIArb, STELLA DURU, and Ikechukwu Okafor for their constant support and to the Mastercard Foundation for selecting me out of over 4,000 applicants.
In the past two and a half decades, I have learned that whatever the mind can conceive, it can achieve, no matter the challenges. Set those goals, and you will be surprised at how fast you will accomplish them.
