1. Early Life
Folu Storms was born in the Aguda area of Lagos before her family moved to Lekki in the early ’90s. She had her secondary education in the UK. Being the daughter of a lawyer, however, she decided to study law.
She then went on to gain graduate and postgraduate degree studies, attaining an LLB, LLM, and a Barrister’s qualification (Bachelor of Laws) from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth; Bristol University; and The Nigerian Law School, respectively.
2. Career
After a brief stint practicing, Folu went on to become a broadcaster on a local radio station (92.3 Inspiration) in 2012. She competed for the MTV Base Africa VJ search and became one of the top 3 finalists.
At the end of the competition, Ndani TV hired her as a content producer and presenter, and she has gone on to create and present many Ndani TV shows, which include The Juice Season 1, The New Africa, Style Guide & Young CEO.
Folu has also worked with several brands, including Smooth 98.1fm, Guaranty Trust Bank plc, Spinlet, Digibrands, and Jumia.
