Ex-BBNaija contestant, Francisca Owumi has died after a brief illness. According to reports, she died shortly after celebrating her 40th birthday.
Francisca was the first runner-up of the first season of Big Brother Nigeria which was held in 2006, the same season as the current host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.
Her death was announced by her family on social media, with the caption: “A daughter and sister. May her soul rest in peace, Amen.”
Known for her energetic dance moves, she was in the house with contestants such as the winner Katung Aduwak, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Gideon Okeke, Maureen Osuji, Ify Ejikeme, and the late Joseph Ada, among others.
In 2012, she briefly ventured into the Nigerian music scene, releasing two singles, ‘Gbadun You’ and ‘Diva’, under her record label, Cisca Entertainment.
She was also a writer for Revista, an international magazine based in Ghana.
