Actress, Funke Adesiyan has gotten a political appointment.
The Nollywood star was appointed the Personal Assistant to the First Lady Aisha Buhari on Domestic and Social events.
Her appointment, including those of five others which take immediate effect, was announced on Wednesday after the nominations were approved by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Adesiyan joined active politics when she emerged as the southwest coordinator for Mallam Shekarau’s presidential campaign in 2011.
A former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for a seat in the Oyo State House of Assembly, she defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2018.
