Early Life

She was born Elizabeth Omowunmi Tekovi Da-Silva on June 10, 1978, in Obalende, Lagos Island to Togolese parents. Her parents were separated and she grew up with her but unfortunately, her mother died before she started acting.

She has a Bachelor’s degree from Lagos State University.

 

Career

Liz Da Silva’s career as a Yoruba actress started in 2004 through the help of Iyabo Ojo who introduced her to Muka Ray.

She shot into limelight after her roles in Wakati Meta and Omidan by Iyabo Ojo.

She has acted in lots of movies such as Desire, Itanje, Alakada Reloaded, Alebu Kan, Tasere etc

Liz made her debut as a movie producer with Mama Insurance in 2012 which featured stars like Ayo Mogaji, Lanre Hassan, Iyabo Ojo, Ronke Ojo,


She credits Muka Ray and Bukky Wright as her mentors in the industry.

Personal life

 

Liz was involved in a paternity controversy when she had her son Abdulroheem Olasunkanmi in June 2013.

This led to her conversion to Islam in 2013 since her baby daddy is Muslim hence the name ‘Aishat Olaoye’.
