Lola Omotayo-Okoye is popularly known as the wife of one of the P-Square duo, Peter Okoye.
As she turns a year older, here are some facts about her.
1. She was born Titilola Loretta Omotayo on September 2nd, 1974.
2. Her father is Nigerian while her mother is Russian.
3. Her late father, Oladipo Omotayo, was the founder and owner of Filco Drilling and Completion Services Limited, an oil and gas company based in Lagos, Nigeria.
4. She was admitted to the University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University, to study psychology in 1990 but left for San Francisco University, USA, to study theater arts.
5. On her return to Nigeria, she joined ECONET as their events manager, where she worked for about a year before joining Daily Times.
6. Lola was a business development director at FKG2m, a marketing agency in Lagos, for five years.
7. She met Peter Okoye in 2002 at a show in Enugu, organized by British American Tobacco, a brand she was working for while at the agency.
8. They got married in 2013 after dating for seven years.
9. They have two children, Cameron, born in 2008, and Aliona, born in 2013.
10. She currently serves as an executive director in her father’s company, Filco Drilling and Completion Services Limited.
11. Lola is older than her husband by eight years.
12. She was once a victim of child molestation at the hands of a Catholic priest.
