Universal will release Little in theaters on April 12.

“Black-Ish” Star, Marsai Martin Makes History As She Becomes Hollywood’s Youngest Producer

Universal will release Little in theaters on April 12.

It’s always impressive seeing young people use their initiative to create something great. That is the case of 14-year-old Actress, Marsai Martin, who is well known as Diane in the popular ABC TV series ‘Black-ish’.

Marsai is set to become one of the youngest Executive Producers in Hollywood for her movie, Little. When she was only 11 years old, she pitched the story to Tracy Oliver, the famous Hollywood screenwriter at Universal Studios.

In a recent tweet, Tracy Oliver mentions that she was so little, yet with a lot of ‘confidence’.

Marsai Martin reveals she got the inspiration for the movie after watching the Tom Hanks movie Big, a 1988 age-swap movie. Unlike Big, where a teenage boy wakes up as an adult after making a random wish, Little goes the other way round.

The movie whose trailer has finally been released by Universal Studios stars seasoned Hollywood Actresses, Regina Hall and Issa Rae.

The story follows Jordan Sanders (played by Regina Hall), a bossy tech entrepreneur who wakes up to discover that she has transformed to her 13-year old self (played by Marsai Martin).

Universal will release Little in theatres on April 12 but before then watch the trailer below:
