Mia Le Roux Emerges Winner Of Miss South Africa 2024


Mia Le Roux has emerged as the winner of the 2024 Miss South Africa beauty pageant after defeating nine other contestants to the crown. She was crowned by her predecessor, Natasha Joubert.

The much-anticipated beauty pageant took place on Saturday, August 10 at the SunBet arena in Pretoria and was hosted by award-winning presenter, Bonang Matheba.

With her win, Le Roux becomes the first deaf person to be crowned Miss South Africa. She will receive a cash prize of $53,371 (R1 million), a Mercedes Benz car, and a luxury fully furnished apartment.

The 28-year-old was born in Sasolburg in the Free State and was raised in Oudtshoorn with her brother Schalk le Roux by their parents Liesel and Schalk le Roux.

She was diagnosed with profound hearing loss at the age of one. She is a marketing manager, model, and part-time BCom marketing student living in Rosebank, Cape Town.

Mia Le Roux will represent South Africa at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico on 16 November 2024.
