Nigerian Celebrity Weddings Of 2017

The year 2017 has been a very eventful one for our female celebrities who got married to their heartthrobs.

All the pomp and pageantry that trails celebrity weddings kept us hooked on some of them as we faithfully kept watch for the latest photos from their nuptials while others kept things low key and private.

One thing all these weddings had in common though was the abundant show of love between the brides and their grooms. We couldn’t help but be glad that these celebrities have found their better halves.

Here are the four female celebrity weddings of 2017 we won’t be forgetting in a hurry

1. Yvonne Jegede

Nollywood actress, Yvonne Jegeda Fawole got hitched to her heartthrob, singer, Olakunle Fawole popularly known as Abounce. The pair were such a happy couple that everyone had to comment at their obvious joy of tying the knot.

They had their traditional wedding on the 4th of February 2017 then a court wedding on the 8th of the same month.

2. Stephanie Coker

Beloved media girl, Stephanie had the creme of Lagos turning up for her trendy traditional wedding to Olumide Adenirokun in December 2016. Then it was a count down to her destination wedding which took place in Greece on August 1st 2017.

She wore three bespoke outfits for the ceremony displaying her daring taste in fashion as always. The event was a celebration straight out of a fairytale.

3. Powede Lawrence

Beauty queen, nurse and pilot, Powede was a sight for sore eyes looking resplendent as she said ‘I do ‘ to her beau, Ikenna Nelly Awujo. She had a simple traditional wedding ceremony in her parent’s house in Lagos on the 7th of September while the white wedding held on the 9th of the same month.

Powede and her groom were the perfect replica of a princess and her prince charming.

4. Adesua Etomi

Some of us are still recovering from the effect of what many have now termed ‘the wedding of the year. Nollywood sweetheart, Adesua Etomi and her then lover, Banky W first broke the internet back in May after announcing their engagement with a photo. It was one of the least expected events of the year but a joyous one nonetheless. Then came the wedding tagged #BAAD2017. The social media was at a stand still as their traditional wedding ceremony which took place on the 19th of November took over the web.

Following on its heel was their white wedding which held in South Africa on the 25th of November. It was all love as celebrities turned out enmasse to celebrate with the lovely pair. It was surely a ceremony nobody will be forgetting in a hurry.
