From being On Air Personalities to red carpet hosts and TV presenters, it is impossible to ignore the talent they bring to every field of their craft.

You might have even seen and fallen in love with some of them while playing a movie role without knowing their other career paths.

1. Zainab Balogun

This 28-year-old is a multi-talented lover of everything arts. She sings, acts, models and is presently a presenter with Ebony Life TV where she co-hosts the daily hang-out show, ‘The Spot’ with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and Lamide Akintobi. Some of the movies she has featured in include ‘The Wedding Party 1& 2’. Ojukokoro and ‘The Royal Hibiscus Hotel’.

2. Dolapo Oni-Sijuwaje

Dolapo is a hardworking media girl whose life is almost akin to a fairy tale. Married to Prince Adegbite Sijuwade with a cute little son, she is one lady whose life an career can make you go green with envy. She started her career as  the lead anchor of the MNet show, ’53 Extra’ but had known she wanted to be actress from age 10. Her first Nollywood movie was the  movie, ‘Diary of a Lagos Girl’ and has since featured in the African version of ‘Desperate Housewives’

3.  Toke Makinwa

This beauty is an all-rounder; A TV host, vlogger, OAP, author, fashion entrepreneur and most recently an actress. Toke is arguably one of the most popular media personalities in Nigeria and not too long ago debuted in her first movie role. She made a cameo appearance in the hit tv series, ‘Jenifa’s Diaries’ and we have to say, she got the part down to perfection.


4. Gbemi Olateru Olagbegi

Gbemi Olateru Olagbegi is a Nigerian broadcaster and presenter known for presenting programmes on Cool FM and The Beat 99.9 FM. She made here acting debut in the web series,’ Our Best Friend’s Wedding’ earlier this year in January.

5. Nancy Isime

In 2011, Nancy began her acting career with a role in the TV series, ‘Echoes’. She appeared in several films in 2014. Isime is also a television presenter, known for presenting gossip show ‘The Squeeze’, technology show ‘What’s Hot’ and backstage segments of MTN Project Fame season 7. In 2016 she replaced Toke Makinwa as the presenter of the popular show Trending on HipTV. She has since featured in several Nollywood movies the most recent being ‘ Disguise ‘ and ‘Ripples of pain’.

6. Helen Paul

Although Helen is more popular as a comedian and the co-host of popular tv show, ‘Jara’, she has proven her acting capabilities over time. She has had several acting roles that leaves noi doubt in the mind of her viewers of her capability as a thespian. Some of her most popular Nollywood appearances include, ‘The Place -Chronicle of the Book’, ‘A Wish’, ‘Damaged’, ‘The Return of Jenifa’  to name a few.

7. Bolanle Olukanni

Media darling, Bolanle Olukanni is popular for hostin, ‘Moments with Mo’ and co hosting ‘Project Fame West Africa’ alongside, actor, Joseph Benjamin. Earlier this year she shared the awesome news of her upcoming role on the popular tv series, ‘Shuga’ and we can’t wait to see her in action.

8. Maria Okanrende

Her sultry voice is one many of her familiar with on The Beat 99.9 FM’s ‘The Morning Rush’ without even knowing. She made debut in acting with her role in ‘Shuga’ season 3 appearing has the OAP, Foye. With her recurring role in the series, we hope to see much more of her in other Nollywood productions.
