This PR Consultant Has A Word For People Who Feel They Have No Purpose In Life

PR consultant and founder of BWL agency, Ronke Bamisedu shared a story on her Instagram page and it is so inspiring.  She spoke about her experience living with a relative in U.K who maltreated her.

The purpose of sharing her story was to inspire other people who have been through or are currently going through what she described, and are afraid to speak out.

Read what she wrote below:

”When I first moved to the U.K – my parents had me stay with an ‘Aunty’ and by God, I went through it! She would leave me out in the cold and I wouldn’t be able to get into the house until she got back from work at around 10! I would walk through Hackney ( before gentrification) I was still in High school so I’d spend that time in the library.

I didn’t tell my parents because I didn’t want to worry them so I just kept on suffering in silence. She would have me run the most ridiculous errands. I would cry myself to bed and then go to school in the morning…. I was under 16!

When you look at me and I have a dead stare perfectly masked/ hidden beneath a smile it’s because I think about that terrified young girl, who just wanted to make her parents proud.

I will share more of these stories because I see too many people running around with no purpose, competing with the next person on Instagram? But really who are you? What experiences have built you? What have your struggles taught you?

I promise you that you are stronger than you think! You will go through tough experiences! You will most likely cry yourself to bed! You will suffer loss! It will hurt!

These are the experiences that build you and trust me when you find your strength, you will be unstoppable! #motivatenotintimidate #letstalkaboutit #shoutoutothataunty #mylifemystory #unashamedtoshare”
