Sharon Adeleke, businesswoman and sister of singer Davido, has urged Nigerian celebrities and public figures to normalize repeating their outfits.
Speaking in a recent video which has gone viral, Sharon advised celebrities not to let society or anyone pressure them into avoiding repetition of clothes, which over time has become a standard.
She said her team often questioned her decision to repeat clothes, but she didn’t let it change her position on repeating outfits.
She said, “Last Sunday, I had an event, and I did not have anything made for it. So, I decided to wear something that I have worn before, and my team objected that people had seen it before and they would see it again. But I wore it anyway.
“Don’t let anybody tell you you can’t repeat your clothes. I will re-rock as many times as I like. I am not going to let anybody put unnecessary pressure on me.
“Don’t be afraid to repeat your clothes. Re-rock as many times as you like.” She noted.
