Simi headlined her first concert ‘See Me Live’ at the Hard Rock Cafe on Sunday 26th of November and it was everything we could have imagined.
Barely three months after dropping her sophomore album ‘Simisola’ which hit the Billboard World Music Chart at number 5 and debuted at number 1 on both Apple Music and iTunes chart, the songbird brought her fans closer with the intimate concert.
She brought her album to live with her audience enraptured by her performance and that of the other guest artistes at the event,

1. Simi came close to tears as she was overwhelmed by the turn out
Being her first time of headlining a show, the singer was touched that people had paid to come see her perform. She was full of appreciation and in her statement said, ” First of all , I will like to say ‘I love you. I’m really close to tears because you guys came out for me.’ The audience loved her right back of course.
2. She and Falz thrilled fans with their performance
Simi and popular artiste, Falz performed some hit songs from their joint EP. Beloved tracks such as ‘Foreign Baby’ had the crowd singing along in no time.
3. She performed with Adekunle Gold and knelt for him in mock-proposal
The crowd went wild during the show when fellow artiste, Adekunle Gold took the stage to perform alongside Simi. Introduced as the ‘best friend’, Adekunle and Simi made the perfect pair on stage as they brought a romantic atmosphere to concert while performing their hit duet ‘No Forget’. This resonated even more with the crowd as Simi went on her knees in front of Adekunle in a mock-proposal. As expected it was one of the highlights of the show everyone was talking about.
4. Simi sang her version of popular latino song, ‘Despacito’
Despacito is a sort of anthem in itself now and Simi did not miss the opportunity to give her fans her own remix of the dancy tune. While many of us don’t know the lyrics of the song, we can now thank Simi for giving a version we can relate with. Learn the lyrics

5. The show had a very lively atmosphere and was fun from start to finish
Simi gave her audience a performance they will never forget. She danced, cracked jokes and did what she knows how to do best; sing. The atmosphere was relaxed and full of energy as Simi delivered hit songs from her ‘Simisola’ album. She wrapped up the show performing her lates wave-maker, ‘Joromi’.
