Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage has received an invitation to perform during the coronation of King Charles III of the United Kingdom.
The historic event will take place on Saturday, May 6, 2023, in Westminster Abbey in London.
According to sources, Tiwa Savage will perform among superstars such as Steve Winwood, DJ Pete Tong, Lang Lang, Lucy, Paloma Faith, and Olly Murs at the coronation event and Big Lunch on Sunday, May 7, 2023.
The coronation comes after the death of King Charles III’s mother, Queen Elizabeth II, and will mark the monarch’s official assumption to the throne alongside Queen Consort, Camilla.
Tiwa Savage’s invitation is a milestone artiste as she is the first Nigerian artist to receive such honour.
