[Watch] Award-Winning Designer Veekee James Chronicles Her Grass To Grace Story in Short Film “From Ajegunle To Forbes”


It’s a Veekee James world and we are all living in it. Known for her show-stopping and stunning designs, the Akwa Ibom-born fashion designer has definitely come a long way.

29-year-old Veekee James, whose real name is Ruth Erikan James, chronicles her life from her humble beginning in Ajegunle to becoming a world-renowned designer who is being featured in Forbes in a recently released short film titled From Ajegunle to Forbes’.

Her designs have not only been spotted by the international media but have also helped put Nigerian fashion on a global scale.

She was recently listed on Forbes Africa’s 30 under 30 Class of 2024, which also coincided with the 10th anniversary of the renowned list. She made the list alongside the renowned award-winning athlete, Tobi Amusan.

Reacting to the news, she said: Congratulations can officially start rolling in!
