4. Be consistent and hardworking

One thing that has been constant with Funke is her consistency and hard work. From her days of ‘I Need To Know’ in the late ’90s to her blockbuster movie, ‘Jenifa’ in 2008 which was the game changer for her career, and now to ‘Omo Ghetto’ being the highest-grossing Nollywood ever, all we can see is someone who is consistent and has refused to rest on her oars.

This has helped her continue to set the bar in Nigeria’s entertainment industry with her acting, production, and directing skills. One key takeaway is to keep doing that thing you have great zeal and passion for. It may take a while but there is definitely a light at the end of the tunnel if you stay consistent.

The truth is we will all at a point make mistakes and take risks. Like a popular quote says: “Just move on. Don’t let mistakes hold you back. Remaining stuck in the past not only keeps you looking backward, but it also prevents you from moving forward. Let go of the past and the past will let go of you.”
