8 Things To Know About Feminist And Twitter Influencer, FK Abudu


If you remember the EndSARS protest of October 2020, one of the notable names that come to mind is none other than  Feyikemi Abudu popularly known as FK Abudu.

The Twitter influencer and content creator in a joint effort with Feminist Coalition, an alliance of women activists coordinated the disbursement of funds and logistics during the protest.

Her active role during the protest earned her the name ‘President’ and also made her followership and her popularity increase.

Here are some things to know about her.

1.FK Abudu was born on January 30, 1993, in Lagos.

2. She comes from a well-connected lineage in Nigeria. Her father, Wale Abudu, a lawyer, is the son of Chief Ayinla Olatunde Abudu, who is the Mayegun of Egbaland and sibling to Tokunbo Abudu, ex-husband to media entrepreneur, Mo Abudu while her mother, Ekua (nee Sagoe) is the proprietress of Greenwood House School, Ikoyi, one of the highbrow preparatory schools in Lagos.

Her grandmother, Modupe Sagoe, is the doyenne of the textile business in Nigeria.


3.She bagged a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University College of London in 2015.

4. FK also obtained a certificate in Entrepreneurial Studies from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

5. She worked briefly at She Leads Africa as their VP of Business Development and Programmes in 2016.

6. She currently co-hosts a podcast called ‘I Said What I Said’ with her friend Jola Ayeye and runs Caya House, a consultancy firm.

 

7. FK Abudu is an avid lover of jumpsuits and wine.

8. She was listed on TIME magazine’s Next 100 list for 2021.
