As we all know, a girl child is as important as a male child in today’s world.
October 11, every year, is known all around the world as the International Day of the Girl, a day created by the United Nations in 2012 to highlight the challenges the girl child faces around the world.
The 2018 International Day of the Girl Child focused on the theme “With Her: A Skilled Girl Force,” highlighting the need for education, training, and opportunities for girls to enter the workforce.
According to the United Nations, the day promotes the “empowerment” of roughly 1.1 billion young girls currently living in the world.
In a bid to celebrate this day, we have carefully highlighted Nigerian teenage girls putting our beloved country on the world map today.
