Gabrielle Union has finally spoken in the wake of her controversial exit from talent show competition America’s Got Talent.
She took to Twitter to post a heartfelt message on Thursday after she was reportedly fired.
So many tears, so much gratitude. THANK YOU! Just when you feel lost, adrift, alone… You got me up off the ground. Humbled and thankful, forever.

Gabrielle Union served as a judge on America’s Got Talent Season 14 (2019) but left after one season over claims of a toxic environment and alleged racism.
There were reports earlier this week that she was sacked after urging the show’s producers to report an incident involving a racist joke to human resources and after producers told her multiple times that her hairstyles on the show were “too black.”
Union alleged she was discriminated against because of her hair and that she had been “shocked” by a “wildly racist” remark made by guest star Jay Leno about Korean food.
Reports suggested Union was fired as retaliation for speaking out, with NBC producers labeling her “difficult.”
“America’s Got Talent” premiered in 2006 and is one of the longest-running talent competition programs on NBC.
