Nollywood actress Aisha Abimbola, popularly known for her role in the award-winning movie ‘Omoge Campus,’ has been reported dead in breaking news.

According to sources, the actress lost her life to breast cancer last night, the 15th of May, 2018, in Canada.

Here are some things you probably did not know about her.

1. Aisha Abimbola was born on the 19th of December, 1970, in Epe, Lagos State.

2. She was born into a Muslim family but changed her religion to Christianity.

3. She is a triplet, which is where she got her Eta Oko nickname.

4. She attended her secondary education at Ebute Elefun High School and was the head girl of the ‘1994 set.’

5. Aisha is a graduate of hotel management and catering from Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH) and did her youth service in 2002.

6. She started her journey into the movie industry with Wale Adenuga Productions, but it was her role in the movie ‘Omoge Campus’ that brought her to the limelight in 2001.

7. Some of her movies and TV shows include Eje Adegbenro, No Pain, No Gain; Awerijaye, So Wrong So Right; and Kamsons and Neighbor.

8. She ventured into movie production and debuted her movie titled T’omi T’eje in 2016.

9. One of her major achievements is becoming a graduate despite life challenges.

10. She won the City People Entertainment Award for Yoruba Movie Personality of the Year in 2015.

11. She would have been a pastor if she were not an actress.

12. She was once married to Victor Ibrahim Musa, and they had two children.

13. Abimbola died from breast cancer in a hospital in Canada, aged 47, and was buried at Meadowvale Cemetery in Brampton.

13. In 2019, her friend and colleague, Lola Alao, won custody of her two children.
