Give Your Family A Treat This Weekend With The Yummy Banana Chocolate Muffin

Banana chocolate muffin is a delicious and healthy snack. Chocolate Banana Muffins are the best way to use those overripe bananas that are probably already looking sad on your countertop.

We love yummy decadent snacks, but when it’s healthy, we love it even more. Treat your family to this moist goodness this weekend by following these steps.

Ingredients

1.2 cups of whole wheat flour

2. ½ cup of sugar

3. 1 tsp of vanilla extract


4. 1 tsp of baking powder

5. ¼ tsp of salt

6. 3 medium size overripe bananas, mashed

7. 1 large egg

8.⅓ cup of vegetable oil

9. ¼ cup of low-fat milk

10. 1 cup of melted milk chocolate

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350F/180C.
  2. Mix your whole wheat flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl.
  3. In a separate bowl, gently mix your mashed bananas, egg, vanilla extract, vegetable oil and milk.
  4. Now pour your mashed bananas mix into the whole wheat flour mixture and stir till the batter is smooth (do not overmix).
  5. Pour the batter in equal quantity into a muffin tray (substitute with a baking pan)
  6. Add 1 tbsp of melted chocolate to each baking pan/muffin tray. Tip: ensure the baking pans/muffin trays are about ¾ full to give room for rising.
  7. Bake your muffins for 30 minutes or until the tops are golden. Tip: insert a toothpick into the centre of a muffin, if it comes out dry, your muffin is ready.
  8. Remove from oven and leave to cool.
