Darasimi Nadi is a Nigerian child actor, model, and TV personality who has captured the heart of Nollywood audiences with her impressive performances. At a young age, she has emerged as one of Nollywood’s most promising child actors.

Early Life

Darasimi Destiny Nadi was born on September 27, 2011. She hails from Makurdi, Benue State.

She discovered her talent for acting at age eight. A year later, she made her acting debut when she was cast in the movie “One Night, One Chance,” produced by her mum, Mimi Hagga.

Interestingly, her mother, who is a movie producer, initially wasn’t convinced that acting was the right path for her. Darasimi had to persuade her before she eventually became one of her biggest supporters.

Career

Darasimi got her breakout role, which shot her into prominence, after she featured in the 2022 film Obara’M, where she acted as Ihunnaya. She has gone on to act in several other movies, including A Father’s Love, Aburo (2024), Shining Star (2024), Tokunbo (2024), Ruthless (2024), The Betrayed (2024), Out in the Darkness (2025), Summer Rain (2025), and Supa Nowa (2025), to mention a few.

Her most notable role so far was in the Netflix film Tokunbo, directed by veteran actor and filmmaker Ramsey Nouah, where she played the daughter of a Central Bank Governor entangled in a high-stakes political kidnapping.

She revealed that she was selected for the role out of about 50,000 people who auditioned in an interview, adding that it was a dream come true to act alongside Nouah.

Darasimi has acted alongside other top Nollywood actors and actresses such as Nancy Isime, Shan George, Bob Manuel-Udokwu, Antar Laniyan, Funsho Adeolu, Shaffy Bello, Onyeka Onwenu, Bolanle Ninalowo, Sydney Talker, Osuofia, and Seun Akindele, among others.

Other interests

Darasimi has ventured beyond conventional acting to advertising and content creation. Aside from acting, she has appeared in television commercials for brands including Golden Morn, Jik, Golden Penny, and Maggi, and she also created comedy skits for social media.

She is also a co-host on the Indomie Love Bowl Game Show alongside Stephanie Coker, which debuted in 2023.
