The wait is finally over!!! The official trailer of the much-anticipated movie ‘Everybody Loves Jenifa’ has been released.

Storyline
Everybody Loves Jenifa is set to be a mix of humour bringing some nostalgia. Produced by award-winning actress Funke Akindele, it is part of the ‘Jenifa’ franchise, which was first released in 2008. It chronicles the life of ‘Jenifa’ acted by Akindele, the naive and funny character of Ayetoro town.
A sequel titled ‘Return of Jenifa’ was released in 2011.
In 2015, she returned with ‘Jenifa’s Diary,’ a popular television series produced under her production company, Scene One Productions. While the series became a household name, she continued to produce and release other spin-offs like ‘Aiyetoro Town’ (2019) set in Jenifa’s village, and ‘Jenifa on Lockdown’ (2021).
Cast
As expected, the cast features a plethora of stars, including Falz, Bisola Aiyeola, Chimezie Imo, Juliana Olayode, Nancy Isime, Stan Nze, Funke Akindele, Layi, and Jackie Appiah.
Working over the span of nine weeks, filming took place in Lagos and Accra with a crew of 175 members.
Release Date
Riding on the heels of the success of her 2023 blockbuster movie ‘A Tribe Called Judah’, which had the highest box office film record in the Nigerian film industry, Everybody Loves Jenifa is set to hit the cinemas on December 13, 2024.
Will it break A Tribe Called Judah’s record? We would just have to wait to find out.
