The film features a mix of prominent Nollywood actors, musicians, and entertainment personalities, with Akindele leading an ensemble cast that includes Waje, Chioma Akpotha, Bisola Aiyeola, John Ekanem, Wunmi Toriola, Lateef Adedimeji, Ireoluwa Olaniyan, Ali Nuhu, and Omotunde Adebowale David, popularly known as Lolo1.

Other cast members are Mide Iwasokun, Kolapo Omotosho, Shoday, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Timini Egbuson, Uzor Arukwe, and Ogbolor.

The Four is an emotionally driven drama that explores friendship, motherhood, resilience, and the strength of ordinary women, as shared on Akindele’s social media page.

The film also explores themes of hope, sacrifice, and unity while incorporating music, fashion, language, and tradition to highlight Nigeria’s cultural identity.

The story follows Esosa and three women who come together to fight for the future of a young man they care about.

Akindele, who wrote, directed, and produced the film, said The Four would explore relationships and experiences that audiences could connect with.

The movie marks another major theatrical project for Akindele, who has established herself as one of Nigeria’s leading filmmakers and box-office forces.

She has directed and produced commercially successful films, including Omo Ghetto: The Saga, Battle on Buka Street, A Tribe Called Judah, Everybody Loves Jenifa, and Behind the Scenes.

Her 2025 release, Behind the Scenes, broke the record as the highest-grossing movie ever in West Africa, crossing the N2billion mark.
