All The Fashion Trends We Spotted At The 2018 #GTBFashionWeekend

The much anticipated GTB Fashion Weekend has come and gone leaving us with amazing memories to relive until the next one. Tagged Africa’s Finest, the 2-day event, which held in Lagos from November 10-11, was filled with amazing runway shows, Nigerian designers, masterclasses and of course street style.

Fashion weekend is the perfect place to have an idea of what the current trends and we certainly were impressed by what we saw. Our favourite style influencers, bloggers and of course celebrities came through with the slay.

From bold colours, to statement prints and accessories here are all the fashion trends we spotted at the 2018 Gtb Fashion Weekend.

1. Bold Colors

It’s safe to say that wearing bright colours can never go out of style and wearing the boldest and brightest is definitely trendy right now.

2. Tulle

Some call it “net” or “ballet skirt” but the fashion name is tulle. Tulle seems to be trending as we spotted it at Lagos Fashion week and also at the GTB Fashion Weekend. Tulle is quite versatile and can be made into different styles.

3. Statement Prints

Prints are definitely still in vogue and the good thing is they go well in every season. We spotted a number of prints at the 2018 GTB Fashion Weekend. Think dots, stripes, floral and even animal prints.

4. Mono-sleeves

This is pretty much one trend that is steady gaining ground and we love it. If your style is edgy and chic you can totally pull this off.
