5 Healthy Food Recipes You Can Make With Only Three Ingredients


Making 3-ingredient recipes may sound unattainable, but you would agree that there are sometimes you just want a quick breakfast or snack without having to cook.

Well, here are five basic recipes you can prepare with just three ingredients.

1. Banana pancakes

For this recipe, you would need a banana or two (depending on how much you can eat and how thick you want each pancake to be), an egg, and about half a cup of oats. You can, however, substitute the oats for either flour or peanut butter.

On a plate, mash your banana(s) till it is a thick, lumpy paste. Then break in an egg and pour in your oats/peanut butter/flour and mix it all. Heat a pan and make them like your regular pancakes. Enjoy with banana slices and syrup.

2. Cucumber and Egg Salad

All you need is a whole cucumber, two boiled eggs, and mayonnaise. So on a plate, mash your boiled eggs or slice them. Dice up the cucumber, mix it with the mashed/sliced boiled eggs, and add mayonnaise to your discretion. Mix all of this and refrigerate for a couple of minutes before you eat.

3. Avocado toast

For this simple dish, you would need two slices of bread, a whole ripe avocado, and butter. It’s like your basic toast but with avocado. Butter both sides of the bread (or just one) and toast it.

 

When done, slice or mash your avocado (add salt and pepper if you like) and sandwich it between your toast.

4. Nutella Brownies

These are a bit on the sweet side. You would need about a quarter cup of Nutella (but you can always use more if you want), 2 large eggs, and half a cup of all-purpose flour. Preheat the oven to 350F and grease a baking pan. Add all ingredients into a large bowl and mix until the batter is smooth.

Pour into a baking pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake for about 15 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Be careful not to bake too long; otherwise, brownies will dry out. Let brownies cool and set before cutting and serving.

5. Peanut butter cookies

Peanut butter cookies represent another dessert that is sweet in nature. So you’ll need 1 cup of peanut butter, one banana, and a teaspoon of baking soda. Preheat the oven to 350 F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Mix all the ingredients.

Drop tablespoon-sized mounds between your two baking sheets. Bake for 8–10 minutes or until golden brown. Leave to cool completely and enjoy.
