Are You A Busy Mom? Here Are 6 Ways You Can Care For Yourself Adequately


Many mothers get too busy and entangled with having to take care of the children and put the home in order. Some women even forget to apply makeup to work because they are always in a rush to leave the house.

We know it’s tasking to be a mother and sometimes a wife but you can do better by taking care of yourself.  There are several ways to take care of yourself and still remain a fabulous mother.

Here are 6 ways you can take care of yourself as a mom.

1.Sleep More Often

This might sound impossible especially for nursing mothers or career women but it’s important to have a good sleep. If you don’t get enough sleep, you may be putting yourself at risk for depression, obesity and heart disease.

2.Exercise

You don’t have to be at the gym every morning because you might not have the time. You can do stretching, yoga, pilates, walking, the point is to get your body moving. Try to do this daily or three times a week and your body will be in good shape.


3.Limit The Time You Spend On Your Phone

Reduce the time you spend scrolling through feeds on social media especially when it’s bedtime. It has the same effect as not sleeping well, making you groggy, anxious and less able to actually relax.

4.Plan A Night Out With Your Partner Or Friends

Amongst the pressure of putting the house together, you need to plan a night out with your partner friends. This would help you ease some stress and release some energy. It would also help you get your groove back as a mom and make you feel young again.

5.Eat Healthy

Good food fuels your body, so make sure you eat and drink high-quality ingredients. Make sure you don’t miss breakfast and lunch. Drink water instead of soda.

6.Make A Gratitude List

This might sound cliche but it actually helps to lift your spirit especially when you’re stressed. Make a list of everything you’re grateful for, it could be about your children and family. It would help you ease off pressure and tension.
