Reality TV star and winner of Big Brother Naija All Stars, Ilebaye Odiniya, is at the center of online conversations following reports of an alleged assault involving her father, Hon. Emmanuel Godson Odiniya, an Abuja-based politician.
The 22-year-old Kogi State indigene sparked widespread alarm around midnight on Friday, May 7, when she went live on Instagram, desperately crying for help with a swollen face as a man who seemed to be her father was allegedly seen beating her.
Fellow stars like Beauty Tukura and Leo Dasilva quickly rallied, urging friends and law enforcement to reach her in Abuja, with Beauty later confirming Ilebaye was fine and safe, and she will tell her story in due time.
The situation, which began circulating on social media, has sparked mixed reactions from fans and the public, with many expressing concern over the well-being of both parties involved. Speculations have pointed to a family dispute, possibly involving her siblings, amid calls to address domestic violence.
Multiple reports claim that in 2024, Ilebaye’s mother left her husband along with her daughters after suffering years of domestic abuse. It was also reported that her father has since remarried, while he retained custody of the boys.
However, as of the time of writing, there has been no official statement from Ilebaye or her management team confirming or denying the assault claims. The incident has reignited conversations around domestic violence, especially within family dynamics.
Born May 9, Ilebaye, a two-time BBNaija contestant of the show in 2022 and also in 2023, rose to prominence when she emerged as the winner of the All Stars edition.

More updates are expected as the story develops.
Some of her fellow BB Naija stars like Tacha, Venita, and Chizzy have been reacting to the news.
Here are some reactions from X.
As a father , there is absolutely no reason for some kind of levels of violence towards your own Children…ESPECIALLY the girl children. It’s sooooo TRAUMATIC and does psychological damage beyond repair! It affects how they relate and connect to men in their lives! & so much more

“Ilebaye does not deserve that. We wonder why she’s not productive, but she has been battling family problems. Her father needs to be arrested.”

What you did was wicked, cruel, and completely unacceptable. No father has the right to brutalize his own child and leave her in pain and fear. A home is supposed to be a place of protection, not violence and intimidation.
Beating a child to that extent is not discipline — it is… pic.twitter.com/ICbLGUEXVd
