1. Jemima Osunde was born on April 30, 1996, in Lagos.

2. She hails from Edo State.

3. She is the last child and only daughter of her parents.

4. She attended Air Force Primary School and Holy Child College for her secondary school education. She studied physiotherapy at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, and graduated in 2019.

5. She got into acting through her uncle’s encouragement.

6. She made her movie debut in 2015 when she featured in ‘Jungle Jewel,’ a movie produced by Ufuoma McDermott. She, however, shot to the limelight with her role as ‘Laila’ in the MTV Shuga series, a show that addressed important issues such as HIV/AIDS awareness, sexual health, and youth culture.

She has acted in over 50 movies and TV series, including Jungle Jewel (2013), Shuga (2015-2019), The Johnsons (2015), Esohe (2017), Isoken (2017), New Money (2018), Lionheart (2018), The Delivery Boy (2018), Quam’s Money (2020), This Lady Called Life (2020), All of Us (2024) and Hijack ’93 (2024).
