Reactions are trailing Mo Abudu’s response to backlash over Chief Daddy 2.
Recall that the sequel to Chief Daddy was heavily criticised on social media after its release on New Year’s Day.
Taking to her Instagram page on Friday, Abudu reacted to the comments thanking viewers for showing their concerns. She also added that the constructive feedback was appreciated.
She wrote: Happy New Year beautiful people.
As the CEO of the EbonyLife Group, I am aware of the mixed reactions to the release of Chief Daddy 2 on the 1st of January on Netflix. While some people enjoyed the film, others did not, and so I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge our Chief Daddy fans that felt some disappointment with the sequel

LMAO. Why are you upset that Mo Abudu professionally and Respectfully told you not to insult her or her team?
Why don’t you know how to share criticism like an adult? Say your issues properly.
All this “it was daft” isn’t criticism. It’s insult. No one should take it from you.

Mo Abudu has finally acknowledged the criticisms of the chief daddy movie. This is why she should have done earlier, not the the initial nonsense she did. Even with this new disclaimer, aunty still disabled the comments section.?

1. Mo Abudu’s speech about Chief Daddy. The CEO with sense and class. That knows the importance of PR. That knows the importance of social media and its reach. ELTV did not respond hurriedly to all the trolling as majority are quick to do.

Today on #Leadership101 with Mo Abudu.
Lesson: How political leaders should respond to criticism and dissenting voices.Leadership is not a title, it’s a life that expresses itself with no struggles or efforts.pic.twitter.com/4oCVpeJksQ

Saw Mo Abudu’s response to the negative chief daddy feedback. Not sure why she felt she needed to do that. I think the challenge people have is with the Nigerian slapstick genre as a whole, not so much EL films. After all, they did a fantastic job with Oloture and others.

Mo Abudu’s ELTV releases Chief Daddy 2.
Nigerians: Movie is trash.
Mo Abudu responds to criticism, acknowledging it.
Nigerians: She should stop talking and do the work. She should beware of cancel culture.
There’s no winning with you guys honestly. Insult isn’t criticism.

That video from Mo Abudu is just unnecessary PR. You messed up with one project. Move on and make a better one.

Final part of Mo Abudu speech on “Chief Daddy 2” sounded like a threat. I’ve watched AY Makun being trolled over the years for producing not-so-constructive but star-jammed movie, and never have I seen him threaten to block anyone’s entry to his pages over their negative shots?.
