Nigerian Woman Celebrates As She Becomes Canadian Citizen

The dream of the average Nigerian in 2021 is to ‘Japa’ in other words relocate to other countries.

A Nigerian lady, Marina Iyeme-Eteng is however celebrating her Canadian citizenship on Twitter. The post has garnered lots of reactions already.

She wrote: I took the oath of citizenship and officially became a Canadian citizen. I used to think that being Canadian will make me less Nigerian, but I have never been more wrong. So today, I celebrate having not one, but two countries to call home. Felt great to hear ‘Welcome Home’.
