10 Things You Need To Know About Nollywood Actress, Opeyemi Aiyeola


Opeyemi Aiyeola is a Nigerian actress and movie producer famous for her feisty character in Yoruba movies and how she gives great interpretations to her roles.

Here are 10 things worth knowing about her.

1. Opeyemi Aiyeola was born on August 29, 1977 and an indigene of  Shagamu, Ogun State.

2. The second of her mother’s three children, she was singlehandedly raised by her mum after her parents separated.

3.  She had her primary school education at Our Lady of Apostles Private School in Yaba and attended Remo Secondary School for her secondary education.


4. She attended Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, where she earned an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Accountancy and finally obtained a degree in Accounting from Lagos State University.

5. Her first acting gig was Papa Ajasco and Company in 1998. She did that for two years before she featured in her first Yoruba movie titled”Aso Iyi”.

6. She, however, shot into the limelight when she featured in the movie “Ige Adubi” by Bayowa Films. She also featured in other movies like Nkan Ini and Apaadi and has produced some movies including Ogede Didun, Teniteni, and Oluwatimilehin.

7. In 2007, Opeyemi got married to Babatunde Olayiwola Owolomose.

8.They are happily married and have three children (all boys). Her family is based in the UK

9. She has a group called Opeyemi Aiyeola Rehearsal Group, which nurtures upcoming talents.

10. In 2015, she won the award for Best Supporting Actress (Yoruba) at the BON Awards.
