Patience Ozokwor Nike Campaign

Veteran Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwor has joined football icon Jay-Jay Okocha and Super Eagles stars Samuel Chukwueze and Tolu Arokodare in the latest campaign for Nike ahead of the 2026 football season.

The campaign, created in collaboration with British-Nigerian artist Olaolu Slawn, celebrates Nigerian culture, football heritage, street fashion, and creativity through a bold new lifestyle collection inspired by the Super Eagles identity.

Nike unveiled the campaign as part of its “Homecoming” and X2 ’26 collaboration series, bringing together entertainment, football, music, and fashion personalities in what many fans have described as a cultural moment for Nigeria.

The inclusion of Patience Ozokwor, fondly called “Mama G,” in the campaign sparked excitement online, with many praising Nike for blending Nollywood nostalgia with football and streetwear culture. The actress appeared in striking campaign visuals wearing pieces from the collection while posing alongside football stars and creatives.

According to reports, the collection features hoodies, T-shirts, jerseys, woven jackets, tracksuits, and sneakers infused with Slawn’s signature graffiti-inspired art style. The designs incorporate zebra-stripe patterns, dripping green graphics, feather-inspired motifs, and bold green-and-white colour palettes that reflect the energy and spirit of Nigeria’s national football culture.

One of the standout pieces from the collection is a white oversized graphic T-shirt with a spray-painted lime green gradient, paired with matching fleece shorts carrying the bold “NAIJA” inscription and the Nigeria Football Federation crest. Another eye-catching design is the black-and-grey patterned anthem jacket, styled with a high-fashion streetwear aesthetic.

The campaign also highlights Slawn’s distinctive artistic identity. As part of the project, the London-based artist reportedly painted an entire football pitch in Lagos using his signature graffiti style as a tribute to the Super Eagles.

Nike announced that the “Nike ’26 Collab Kits” will first be available through early access at Slawn before launching on the SNKRS platform and selected retailers later this summer.

Although Nigeria did not qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the collection is not an official tournament kit. Instead, it serves as a fan-focused lifestyle collection celebrating Nigerian pride, resilience, creativity, and cultural influence globally.
