Sandra Tubobereni is one of Nigeria’s finest designers and the creative director of the foremost fashion brand, TUBO. She has designed outfits for notable celebrities like Rita Dominic, Adesua Etomi, Kemi ‘Lala’ Akindoju, and many more.

Early Life
Sandra Tubobereni was born in May 1991 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. She has a B.Sc. in economics from Madonna University and an MBA in global financial services from Coventry University.
She has always had a fashion background; growing up with a seamstress mother in Port Harcourt, she was able to begin her journey of sewing and designing from childhood as she made her primary school uniforms herself.
While in secondary school, she went into the business of sewing school uniforms and day wear for her schoolmates and started making money from her passion at a young age.
Career
After a career in finance and business development, Tubobereni launched her fashion brand TUBO in 2014 to pursue her dream of fashion. In 2016, she released the debut collection of her brand, titled Le Premiere by TUBO, a spring/summer collection that featured eye-popping colors and structured pieces.
The collection accorded her local and international recognition as well as the opportunity to make her debut and showcase at Africa Fashion Week Nigeria in July 2016.
The TUBO brand has three main lines, which include Tubo Brides (Bridal), TuboRTW (Ready to Wear), and TuboWoman (Evening Wear). Sandra’s designs are popular with celebrities such as Tiwa Savage, Mimi Onalaja, Rita Dominic, Adesua Etomi-Wellington, and Bolanle Olukanni.
She also featured in the Glitz Africa Fashion Week, Accra, in 2017. She was also featured by the top publication Al Jazeera, which is one of the highlights of her career.
Launched in 2022, she is the convener of Impact Day with Tubo, an initiative for female entrepreneurs across Nigeria. The second edition was held in 2024.

Tubobereni is also famous for styling Chioma Rowland Adeleke’s Igbo wedding looks in 2024.
Awards
She won Fashion Designer of the Year at the 2018 ELOY Awards that were held on Sunday, the 25th of November, 2018. She also won the Women’s Wear Designer of the Year at the 2018 edition of the Fashion Finest Africa Awards.
