6 Tips For Surviving With A Toddler During Pregnancy

Second or third pregnancies aren’t the same as the first. When you were pregnant at first, you thought your husband would take care of himself since he’s an adult.

However, the issue now isn’t your husband. Its your toddler!

Toddlers are still very much like babies, so you need to know how to manage them with a baby on the way.

Here’s how to handle a toddler while you’re pregnant:

1. You’ll need some help

You should get a nanny quite often or a close relative to help you watch your toddler.

You can’t do all the work. Many times, discuss this with your husband too. He might help out.

2.Teach your toddler independence

Independence is one thing your toddler needs to learn when you’re expecting.

This is to ensure that s/he doesn’t always cry when you’re not there to play.

3. Take a nap whenever you need to

Whenever you need to take a nap, get someone to watch your toddler. You could also put your toddler to sleep. Bottom line- take that nap!

4. Don’t stress yourself too much

Stress isn’t great for you at all. If your toddler is misbehaving, just calm down. Correct with ease and use threat techniques.

5. Chores are for evenings

After your toddler might have scattered the entire house for the day, s/he goes to bed.

This is the time you have to clean up so you don’t have to repeat the chores.

6. Play with your toddler mildly

Being pregnant with your toddler around doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have some fun time with them

However, whenever you need to play with your toddler, play in ways that won’t hurt the next baby in your belly.
