Reality TV star, entrepreneur, and influencer Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has revealed her plans to attempt a Guinness World Record for the ‘Most Cosmetic Makeovers by an Individual’. She is targeting 150 makeovers in 24 hours.

This attempt will be the highlight as she hosts the first-ever Tacha Beauty Festival in Lagos. The three-day event will be held from October 10 to 12, 2025, at the John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture & History.

Tacha, who rose to fame after her stint on Big Brother Naija in 2019, has consistently proven herself as more than just a reality TV personality. Over the years, she has built a strong personal brand, championed women’s empowerment, and established herself as a force in business and media. Her latest world record attempt is another bold step in her journey of breaking barriers and pushing boundaries.

Speaking about the upcoming challenge, Tacha emphasized her passion for beauty and her determination to leave a mark in the industry:

“This is more than just makeovers. It’s about showing the world that Nigerian women are bold, creative, and unstoppable. I want young women everywhere to see that there is no limit to what they can achieve.”

The attempt will require stamina, speed, and mastery of makeup artistry, as each makeover must meet set standards to be counted. If successful, Tacha will officially become a Guinness World Record holder, joining the ranks of other Nigerians like Hilda Baci, who cooked her way into history with the world’s largest jollof rice.

According to Lagos State Governor’s Special Adviser on Tourism, Idris Aregbe, the festival is more than just a record attempt.

“This is about empowering talent, celebrating culture, and showing the world that Nigerian creativity can compete globally. Lagos State is proud to support this project,” he said.

The event will feature workshops and masterclasses covering makeup, skincare, hair, wellness, and fashion. A vendor village and exhibitions will also be staged to connect local beauty brands with thousands of participants, boosting opportunities for collaboration and growth.
