Victory Takes The Lead As Taraji P. Henson Receives Star On The Hollywood Walk Of Fame


Taraji P. Henson, Oscar-nominated actress, earned the award for one of Hollywood’s top honors on Monday, receiving a star on the Walk of Fame.

The “Empire” star got so emotional during the ceremony, thereby crediting her grandmother for her success. She says that her grandmother was an inspiration for her all through the years of her career.

Taraji P. Henson told ETonline “What I love about my grandmother is her unconditional love,”. In addition to this, she loves how she has kept the family close.


The actress also told City News Service, according to KNSD-TV:

“this honor really confirms that in spite of the circumstances in your life whether you were born into them or they just happened along the way, it doesn’t matter because with God, all things are possible.”


Fans await her latest film “What Men Want”,scheduled for release on February 8, 2019. Meanwhile, she has another project with director John Singleton- “Baby Boy”. She says about this next project:

“It’s going to be bittersweet because yes, it’s a story that absolutely needs to be told…”

She also admitted that it’s sometimes hard for her to go to such a dark place, because “I’m such a bright person.”
