Teju Ajani Appointed Apple’s First-Ever Country Managing Director for Nigeria


Tech Giant, Apple has appointed Teju Ajani as Country Managing Director for Nigeria. This appointment makes her the first woman to attain this position.

Ajani’s appointment will see her oversee sales and business development at Apple.

Prior to her new role, Ajani was Country Manager, Android Partnerships for Google in Nigeria.

She also served as the YouTube head of content partnerships for Sub Saharan Africa between January 2014 and April 2018.


The software engineer said her years of experience will guide her in contributing to the organisation and impacting positively in Africa.

She started out her career as a Software Engineer at Vovida networks in California before going on to work in senior roles at BEA Systems, VMware, and Oracle spanning 11 years.

Ajani possesses extensive expertise in technology and innovation, strategic planning, partnership building and business development, media content strategy and customer marketing.

She is an alumnus of the University of Ilorin, Nigeria and Golden Gate University, San Francisco where she earned a BSc in Economics and MSc in Software Engineering respectively.
