Temi, the daughter of billionaire Femi Otedola, makes a huge feat as the first African digital ambassador for L’Oreal Paris.

French multinational cosmetic brand, L’Oreal Paris has unveiled Temi Otedola as its African Digital Ambassador. With her appointment, she becomes the first African to attain this position.

The company announced the partnership in a statement on Sunday.

Describing the collaboration as “iconic,” the skincare brand disclosed in a statement on Sunday that Temi now joins its roster of ambassadors like Kendall Jenner, the American model, and Viola Davis, the US actress.

“Standing alongside fellow ambassadors including Kendall Jenner and Viola Davis, this collaboration marks a significant milestone in celebrating beauty in all its forms across the African continent and reaffirms L’Oréal Paris’s commitment to diversity and empowerment,” the statement reads in part.

“As the face of L’Oréal Paris Makeup, Temi will headline the latest Infallible Makeup Range campaigns, showcasing her unique style and celebrating the diverse beauty of Africa.”

An elated Temi also took to Instagram to share the news.

“I still don’t believe I’m typing this but I’m so excited to announce that I am the first ever African Digital Ambassador for @lorealparis. I’m truly honoured to be the first Nigerian representing L’Oréal not only across Africa but also on a global stage. This has been the hardest secret to keep for the last 6 months!!” she wrote

“I’m so excited to share L’Oréal’s iconic products and equally iconic brand with all of you. To me, the L’Oréal woman is empathetic, unapologetic and of course, infallible. She’s Worth It! I can still remember playing with my mom’s L’Oréal Lipstick and Mascara so this is a REAL dream come true!!!”
