Toke Makinwa Stays Winning As She Organizes Grant To Help Young Entrepreneurs


Media personality turned entrepreneur, Toke Makinwa is on to another big achievement and it is so inspiring.

A few weeks ago, the ace vlogger launched her bag collection and it was well received. Barely weeks into that feat, she has organised the #OnBecomingEmpowered grant which was a move to help young entrepreneurs get financial support.

The event held yesterday the 3rd of December and it was one to remember. Veterans in the media and entertainment world such as Stephanie Coker,  Bolanle Olukanni, Toyin Abraham, Tallulah Doherty were panelists of the grant competition and they did a pretty good job.

Today is a good day to give back? scratch that, everyday is a good day to do more. Thank you Lord for grace and provision, thank you to everyone across Africa who purchased a copy of my book ? On Becoming… you empowered me to be able to do this? The #OnBecomingEmpowered grant will be given out today, 4 people will walk away with the total sum of 3.5 million Naira (1m for 3 people and 500k to one lucky winner) to help them further become some more on their journey. This year we chose people in business, people with amazing ideas, those who may have started something amazing but need some support to go further. Next year I am hoping we can do an education grant. The selection process was tough, our panelists had a lot of work cut out for them and they delivered 30 people who will have brunch with me today and get inspired by the amazing speakers who will be share their lives journey with you.
