Actress and producer Toyin Abraham’s ‘Oversabi Aunty’ has made history, as it surpassed N1 billion at the Nigerian box office.
The feat marks the first time Abraham has crossed the N1 billion earnings threshold, with the film emerging as the fourth highest-grossing Nollywood movie of all time.
Released in December 2025, Oversabi Aunty has also become the first Nollywood directorial debut to reach the N1 billion mark.
This milestone comes days after Funke Akindele’s ‘Behind The Scenes’ also set a new record for Nollywood cinema.
Film distributor Film One celebrated the achievement, describing it as a historic moment for the industry and commending the film’s commercial success.
Reacting to the milestone, Abraham expressed appreciation to her supporters, cast, and production team, thanking her fans, Nigerians, and FilmOne for their role in the project’s success.
