Ugochi Mitchel Ihezue representing Imo State has been crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2023.

Hezue overcame fierce opposition to win the coveted Miss Universe crown, beating 36 other deserving competitors. The event was held at the Convention Center of the Eko Hotels & Suites on Sunday, September 10th.

Not a stranger to beauty pageantry, Ihezue is a former Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria winner, a title she won in 2017.

She made headlines at the Miss World pageant later that year when she emerged in the Top 15 contestants. She also made history at the competition when she became the first Nigerian to become the Top Model winner.

Other winners on the night include Miss Nasarawa who won the Miss Photogenic award, Miss Taraba, Best Traditional Costume category, and Miss Borno, the Miss Amity award.

With this win, Ihezue will represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe 2023 competition scheduled to take place in El Salvador on November 18, 2023.
