Mother of late Whitney Desola Adeniran, the Chrisland student who was electrocuted to death has written her a glowing tribute six months after her death.

Whitney, a 12-year-old student of Chrisland International School, died on February 9, 2023, during the school’s inter-house sports activities at Agege Stadium, Lagos State. Her death was embroiled in controversy and even though the school said she had ‘slumped and died’, an autopsy revealed an electrocution.

Blessing, a popular businesswoman on Instagram had continued to call for justice over her daughter’s death.

In a post via her Instagram page, she wrote:

6 MONTHS. 6 Months ago today, you took your last breath, my child. The school that was meant to care and protect you ended your life carelessly. Desola, you never got to say a word to me.

Seeing you lying lifeless on that bed is an image that has left me traumatised till now.

They say God is unquestionable, but I’ve asked Him why He allowed you to go, why you? Why my peaceful smiling child? He hasn’t answered, but I feel his comfort and care for Me and our family.

I promised you at your graveside, we’ll pray for you every day and we do. We miss you everyday Omodesola. Micheal has taken over your hoodies and denim jackets, you know he always liked them😀. Sochi is now wearing all your pjs, she’s growing way faster than we can imagine 😀. Your room is intact, your pictures are still all over the house.

YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN, omo mi. We love you, we always will and like I promised you Desola, I swear on your grave, you my child, will get justice. CHRISLAND SCHOOLS messed with the wrong child.

Keep resting in Jehovah’s memory my child, you were too good for this wicked world. I’ll see you when all is made new (Rev: 21: 3-4).
